Potterhill Homes Expands to Indianapolis

Posted By on June 16, 2010

Milford-based Potterhill Homes is expanding its homebuilding operations to Indianapolis.  The builder will debut its newest model home in a multi-phased luxury home community located in the towns of Avon and Brownsburg, called the Village of Heritage Hill.

In 2007, Potterhill Homes purchased more than 300 acres of reclaimed green space to begin production on the neighborhood.  Since then, Potterhill Homes has developed approximately 75 acres of land and 100 home sites in the first phase of the community, offering the latest home styles from two additional area builders.  In addition to land development, Potterhill Homes will be the exclusive builder in the “Villas”—a collection of low maintenance, single family homes.

“We are very excited to not only bring the Potterhill Homes brand to the Village of Heritage Hill, but also to provide a beautiful community where other builders have the opportunity to provide charming homes for area homebuyers,” said Carolyn Rolfes, President of Potterhill Homes.  “Our expansion to Indianapolis is about more than growing homebuilding to the region. It is about investing in a community, one we hope to be a large part of for years to come.”

Potterhill Homes is already making plans to further development in the Village of Heritage Hill, including incorporating approximately 185 additional lots to the community, in phases, over the next two-three years.

Construction in the Village of Heritage Hill is currently underway and the Potterhill Homes’ SouthHampton model will be officially open to the public at the Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, June 26 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Just like the home communities in the Cincinnati Tri-State area, all Potterhill Homes in the Village of Heritage Hill come standard with 9-foot ceilings, rounded drywall corners, arched openings, 36-inch kitchen cabinets and unique architecture.  Homes also are 50 percent more efficient on heating and cooling than other builders’ homes.  Further options include geothermal heating and cooling, and ENERGYSTAR® appliances.

Village of Heritage Hill homes will be priced starting in the $340s. Homes located in the Villas will be priced starting in the $190s. For more information about the Village of Heritage Hill, visit www.thevillageofheritagehill.com

About the author

Carolyn Rolfes is the President of Potterhill Homes. And she's also a Rolfes - as in daughter of Dan Rolfes, the infamous Red Tag Man of Holiday Homes. So what does that say about Carolyn and who she is? Plenty. When you grow up the daughter of man who does commercials in his red underwear, you have no choice but to have a great sense of humor and humility from a very young age. Carolyn and Dan founded Potterhill Homes in 2001 and she has grown it to be one of the most successful home builders in Cincinnati. Home building is in her blood and she has a keen awareness of what consumers look for in a new home and how to deliver value at all levels. And while we don't make Carolyn dress up in green underwear for our commercials, we bet she would if we asked!
