While the homebuyer tax credits expired for civilians on April 30, 2010, Congress has extended Homebuyer Tax Credits for qualified military personnel on new home purchases until April 30, 2011.

Breaking news! The homebuyer tax credit WILL BE EXTENDED!
The question remains, “What will the extention of the tax credit look like?”
It would appear as if there will not only be a first time buyer tax credit but a tax credit available for all new home purchasers who purchase a primary residence.
