In collaboration with The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields, The Great Miami Valley YMCA Youth Miracle League Baseball Program serves as the collaborative partner providing youth instructional baseball programming to children with intellectual, physical and developmental disabilities throughout our community and region. In conjunction with the mission of the YMCA, The Great Miami Valley YMCA Youth Miracle League program provides scholarship opportunities for children and families to participate, regardless of their ability to pay.
Goals:

In conjunction with the mission of the YMCA, The Great Miami Valley YMCA Youth Miracle League program provides scholarship opportunities for children and families to participate, regardless of their ability to pay. The program focus in 2022 will be to return to similar levels of participants served as was accomplished in 2019, pre-Covid. We are pleased to report that we have registered more than 100 children to participate this Spring season, and we are quickly approaching the total number of children served in all of 2019, just in this spring season alone. Last year in 2021, we served 170 children for the entire year.
As an update, we served 100 participants in the Spring season, and we registered and served 104 children for the Fall season, which is the largest number ever registered for the Fall offering of this program since its inception in 2012.
Grant Evaluation Report:
We served 100 participants in the Spring season, and we registered and served 104 children for the Fall season, which is the largest number ever registered for the Fall offering of this program since its inception in 2012. We are pleased to have returned to pre-2020 numbers of participants served and we look forward to continuing to expand this program to additional participants in 2023. The fields are now nicknamed the 'joy factory' because of the joy the players, their families and volunteers get to experience each and every game day.
