CASA University
CASA University is ProKids’ CASA Volunteer recruitment and training program. Through CASA University, ProKids recruits and trains CASA Volunteers to advocate on behalf of the best interest of abused and neglected children in Hamilton County’s child protection system. ProKids supports CASA Volunteers as they fulfill a vital role in the lives of these children - preventing them from falling victim to many of the issues often plaguing this vastly underserved population. For more than a decade, the number of children in Hamilton County’s child protection system has increased almost every year. Due to the ongoing effects of the pandemic, we anticipate this trend will continue. An increased grant of $100,000 from The Dater Foundation will allow ProKids to scale CASA University’s recruitment, training, and retention efforts, and thus provide even more children with the life-changing support of a CASA Volunteer as soon as possible.Brief Description of the Program/ProjectCASA University is ProKids’ CASA Volunteer recruitment and training program.
