Empowering and Supporting Children, Teens and Families
The program will continue the progress that has been made toward the children's cancer programs which provide critical support to children and youth in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region, and to restore hope and improve the lives of those touched by cancer.
Program Goals:
Cultivate Belonging and Understanding: Alleviate emotional distress by fostering a sense of community, equipping individuals and families with essential tools to navigate the cancer journey.
Empower through Healthy Habits: Encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits to help participants face their emotional challenges with courage and resilience.
Outcomes:
Increased Participation: We aim to serve more participants each year, reflecting heightened community engagement.
Participant Retention: Success is measured by participants' likelihood to return and their willingness to recommend the program to others.
Quality of Engagement: We assess satisfaction levels, active participation in activities, and the formation of meaningful connections.
Impact on Well-being: Track improvements in emotional well-being, resilience, and coping strategies through self-reported outcomes.
Program Results:
The Empowering & Supporting Children, Teens, & Families through Cancer program reached 255 children and families this year. In total, we served 4,000 individuals through our CSC programs and activities. Our focus remains on offering programs that foster connection, enhance communication, and reduce distress and isolation for those impacted by cancer.
