Diaper Distribution Program Expansion
The project to be funded is partial salaries for two essential program staff for the Diaper Distribution and Period Supplies Programs: the Director of Programs and Operations and the Support Coordinator. The Director of Programs and Operations is vital to SCDB's programs and oversees distribution, inventory, expansion, current partner agencies, wait-listed agencies, and COVID emergency response distributions. The Support Coordinator is responsible for all social media efforts, designed to engage the community in cash and product donations, corporate diaper drives, event attendance, and general SCDB news. The Support Coordinator also provides necessary and general administrative support for all SCDB programs, including accepting, counting, and processing all product donations and responding to community inquiries.
Program Goals:
SCDB partners with local agencies to provided free diapers to low-income families experiencing diaper need. The primary measurable goals and objectives of the Diaper Distribution Program are:
-Increase diaper distribution to meet existing diaper need in the GCA
-Increase the number of children receiving diapers on a monthly recurring basis
-Strategically increase partnerships with local social services agencies to meet underserved or unserved areas
-Ease the burden of poverty for families
-Engage the community in our mission to spread awareness of diaper need and increase volunteer, donor, and corporate support
