Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County Youth Mentoring 2023

As an organization focused on empowering children to realize their full potential, we deeply value recognizing and cultivating the potential children inherently possess and defending children against any factors that can prevent them from realizing their potential. Our organization believes that all children have the potential to succeed in life regardless of their circumstances or backgrounds, and above all else we value empowering children to realize that potential no matter what challenges they face. We seek not to “fix” children or to force them to fit a certain model of success, but rather to defend their inherent potential against the challenges they face so they can fully realize their potential to succeed at whatever they set their minds to. Therefore, our specific values include compassion, education, children’s wellness, social and emotional learning, justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, the power of relationships, and generally empowering children to carve out their own path to success. Above all else, we value children themselves and the potential they possess by nature.
