When no grant application was received by June 2023, the Foundation made a "renewal grant" for the program for which funding had been provided in the previous year. Program Results:

No formal Grant Evaluation Report was submitted with results for the program. This “Success Narrative” was submitted in December 2023.

This grant allowed La Soupe to cover staffing, material and supplies, and administration costs, which are crucial to operating the Rescue, Transform, and Share program. The following outcomes were achieved:

Outcomes achieved between July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, are:

1. 1,277 million pounds of food rescued (6% over goal) from 138 rescue partners
2. 983,000 servings of prepared food (20% over goal) shared through 137 share partners
3. 1,900 student engagements (not unique individuals) through 55 Education partners (26% over goal)
4. 12,800 servings were Nourish meals which were 19% of the total servings of prepared foods.
5. In FY23, La Soupe was able to provide more nutritionally tailored meals that follow the DASH diet while also launching partnerships with Meals on Wheels, CareSource/Talbert House to provide medically tailored meals (MTM) to those with chronic illnesses who need more intensive targeted interventions than traditional food pantries, SNAP or congregate meal sites can provide.
6. La Soupe renovated its basement for more storage and preparation space to meet its growing needs.
